A good opener should be quiet, reliable and sized to the door it lifts. We supply and install belt-drive and chain-drive openers for sectional and tilt doors, and roller-door openers for roller doors, matched to the weight and width of your door.

For homes that lose power during summer storms, we recommend an opener with battery backup so you can still get the car in and out. Phone control and wall keypads are available if you want them.

  1. Check the doorAn opener only works well on a balanced door, so we check and adjust the door first.
  2. Choose the openerWe recommend a model for your door type, weight and how you use the garage.
  3. Install and set upRail, motor, wall button and safety beams are fitted, and limits and force are set.
  4. Hand overRemotes are coded, and we show you the manual release and how to use battery backup.

Near the beach?

In coastal garages we mount the motor and its wiring away from where salt spray and rain blow in, and we suggest closing the door when the garage isn't in use.

Can you put a motor on my manual door?

In most cases, yes, as long as the door is in good condition and balanced. We check that first.

Belt or chain drive?

Belt drives are quieter, which suits garages under bedrooms. Chain drives are robust and suit heavier doors. We'll recommend one for your door.

What happens in a blackout?

With battery backup the opener keeps working for a number of cycles. Without it, every opener has a manual release so you can open the door by hand.
